🌟 Featuring Beate Kraft
Dr. Beate Kraft is an Associate Professor at the Department of Biology, University of Southern Denmark. She holds an MSc in Marine Environmental Sciences from the University of Oldenburg, followed by a PhD in Marine Microbiology from the Max Planck Institute for Marine Microbiology in 2014, where she specialized in the competitive dynamics of nitrate-reducing microbial communities. She then conducted postdoctoral research at Harvard University, further honing her expertise in microbial ecology.
Dr. Kraft currently leads groundbreaking research projects, including the prestigious Villum Young Investigator Grant focused on “A newly discovered microbial oxygen production pathway: Physiology and environmental significance.” Her extensive research expertise spans microbial physiology and biochemistry, microbial ecophysiology, biogeochemistry, nitrogen transformations, and microbial population dynamics, establishing her as a distinguished leader in marine microbiology.
